Liverpool Book Event | 22nd February '25
Liverpool Book Event | 22nd February '25
Our first romance book event is happening in Liverpool on the 22nd of February 2025. This is an 18+ event as there maybe adult content on tables.
What will the book event be like?
We aren't calling this a book signing because we want this to be so much more. We are calling it a social romance book event.
Upon arrival, you will receive a mimosa (or hot drink) on us to start the event.
You can expect around 18 indie romance authors to have stalls where you can buy books, chat with the authors, and get books signed. HEA Bookshop will also have a table, be sure to come and say hi and see some of the other authors who can't attend the signing. You will also find some bookish small businesses selling bookmarks, stickers, and more.
We want this event to feel like a fun, welcoming community atmosphere. Where you can stop and chat with anyone at the event. There will be tables around the venue for you to have a seat and talk all things books with other attendees. We will have pub quizzes on the table along with different icebreakers to get the conversations flowing.
Food is also included at the event. We will have a selection of sandwiches, pasta, and cakes. There is a bar serving alcoholic drinks and other hot and cold drinks too.
We will also have a photo wall that we encourage everyone to take as many pictures as possible. Be sure to tag us, I can't wait to see how much fun you have at the event.
Where will the book event take place?
The event will run between 11am-3:30pm.
The event will be held in The Racquet Club Hotel, 5 Chapel St, Liverpool L3 9AG. Just a short 10 minute walk from Liverpool Lime Street Train Station. With plenty of other transport links nearby. There is also paid parking close to the venue.
Can I come alone?
Of course! I have started these events to build our HEA Community. If you want to come alone don't panic there will be friendly faces everywhere. It's a great opportunity to make new book besties. If in doubt come and find me, I'm always happy to chat and talk books.
If you want to bring support, they are always welcome too.
What should I wear?
The dress code is confidence and comfort. If you feel confident with a full glam and heels, I encourage you to wear them. If you feel most confident in leggings and a Tshirt, do it! If I could get away with wearing PJ's and slippers to the event I would.
Does the venue have disability access?
Unfortunately, the venue has steps to get into the building. However, there is a side entrance with fewer steps and a stair chair lift. Once inside the venue it is on one floor but the floor plan doesn't make it the best for wheelchair accessibility.
Tickets will be emailed out to you 28 days before the event. One the day of the event have your ticketed printed or on your mobile.
*Author announcements will follow in the coming weeks. Author list may be subject to change.
Refunds can only be given up until 28 days before the event. After 26th January, refunds will not be given for canceled tickets.
